ASHRAM
Gallery
Description provided by the architects:
The ashram is envisioned as a serene eat that harmoniously blends spirituality, nature, and architecture. Rooted in simplicity and mindfulness, the design draws inspiration from traditional Indian values while responding sensitively to the surrounding landscape. Open courtyards, axial pathways and contemplative vistas guide visitors through a journey of calm and introspection encouraging a deep connection with the self and the environment.
Built zones are strategically placed to maintain visual connection with open greens and water bodies, ensuring a calm and balanced environment. Primary pathways guide visitors gently from the entrance to key spiritual and communal spaces, while quieter zones are kept away from active areas.
Main Hall:
The main hall is conceived as a large, unobstructed gathering space designed to accommodate collective meditation and spiritual assemblies. The clear central axis and simple seating arrangement emphasize focus and collective presence. Opening towards the landscape, the hall reinforces a seamless connection between spiritual practice and nature.
Accommodation:
Rooms are arranged along the shaded corridors and landscaped courtyards, allowing ample natural light and ventilation while maintaining a quiet, restful environment. Toilet facilities are thoughtfully integrated within each block to ensure ease of access, hygiene and efficient circulation.
